"...convince girls to order nothing but Thin Mints, ...they sell the best and take up the least amount of space. Then, remove all seats except drivers seat. Stack and wedge tightly. If they get crushed, return them to council for exchange. Tie children and dogs on top of van. If stopped by local law enforcement, offer to sell cookies...give him a case...whatever it takes! It's for the good of the girls!" |

"I am looking to buy some mints...with the light-colored insides. ...the council switched to Little Brownie Bakers and the mints are chocolate inside. They're not as good." |
Lori Tres Condados GSC |
"Needed a second vehicle (friend) to drive in front. She pulled into traffic only if we could both go, because I couldn't see to the right or behind me. I had the front windshield and left rear-view mirror that were usable. This year...new troop and car! 26 girls and driving Mazda RX-7. Wish me luck!" |
Rae Crofton, Maryland |
"...those 100 cases fit without an inch to spare. I seriously doubt we could have fit 101 cases in there." |
Tami Mid-Continent GSC |
"Both of the back seats were out of the van and my 3 year-old was in the front seat with her feet on 2 cases and she was holding a third one in her lap. Luckily, the pickup location that year was at the top of my street in a church, so we only had to travel 1-2 minutes like that!!!!!" |
Kathie GS Southwestern PA |
"My husband loaded the van, not me. We had an order of 144 cases. ...I know he had only 20 cases left, because everyone was coming in while he made the first trip. My five year old son was sitting in the front seat holding cases and the seats were all in! Not sure how he did it, but he did." |
Donna Tuttle |
"Of course I had no one else with me...cases went in the floorboards, under the seat (wearing seatbelt, too!) and were stacked to the roof of the car! Evryone was amazed at how many I put in the car! ...but then you should see me pack for a trip!" |
Troop #587 |
"My Co-Leader and I used an 8 Ft. bed of a standard pickup truck! This was the first year for both of us as leaders. We also ended up being cookie mom and sales manager. We were both worried about the amount of cookies. I had my husband at home on stand-by with the station wagon, just in case. We successfully loaded 78 cases of cookies with lots of room to spare!" |
Donna GS of Dogwood Trails Council |
"My name is Donna. My Council is Dogwood Trails. I have to tell you that I
managed to get 66 cases of cookies in my van last year, but that was with all the seats out. We travel home several times a year, so my husband and I have learned how to pack our 93 Dodge Mini-Van. It can be done and the first year I left the van seats at the Cookie station and had my husband and son go back
for them, while I unloaded cookies into the garage. When everything was sorted and I called the girls in my troop, I had several neighbors come over--they knew cookies had arrived!" |
Lisa GS of Dogwood Trails Council |
Our Troop sold 177 cases of cookies this year, and this was my first time being cookie manager. I kept looking at the chart and thinking we would have at least 2 trips to the pickup station. I have a 1995 Ford Taurus and my co-leader has a Dodge Caravan with one seat removed (she had one passenger too). I don't know how many we got in each vehicle but we were able to all 177 cases in one load. Both vehicles were very full and the van was so full that when the side door was opened a couple cases fell out. |

Hi! I am ready for the cookie challenge. I am a troop leader from
Englewood, Colorado. We are part of Mile Hi Council in the Wildflower
Service Unit. My cookie mom and I loaded my 1998 Ford Expedition with 115
cases of cookies plus 26 extra boxes. Pretty good, huh!
